I’ve not been able to recreate the A flat above top C in exercises when practising at home – I guess I’m just overthinking it.
However, I did do some singing of songs yesterday and managed two top Bs, two top B flats and some very easy top As. As yet, they wouldn’t do for public performance, but the fact that my voice went to them, no cracking and not falsetto, is a good sign.
I’m going to give Lesson 2 another week and then I’ve a week where practising is going to be difficult to fit in. I’ll take a week’s rest and then I’m going to begin on Lesson 3. In the meanwhile, I’m also giving Jesse Nemitz’s product a few practices as I’m sure that it has helped me to firm up my top notes.
